HIGHLOAD-40 STYROFOAM - 2x24x96

Dow Chemicals
#59

STYROFOAM Highload extruded polystyrene insulation is a closed-cell foam insulation. Available in compressive strengths of 40, 60 or 100 psi, STYROFOAM Highload insulation features superior moisture resistance and R-value (RSI) retention. All three STYROFOAMHighload insulation products resist compressive creep and fatigue, delivering long-term compressive strength.

Like all STYROFOAM insulation products, STYROFOAM Highload 40, 60 and 100 are durable, versatile and reusable — making them the preferred choices for a variety of high-load applications. CAN/ULC S701, Type 4. Available in 2"x2'x8'(HI40 3"x2'x8'(HI40) and 2"x2'x8' (HI60) 3"x2'x8'(HI 60)

STYROFOAM™ Highload extruded polystyrene insulation is a closed-cell foam insulation. Available in compressive strengths of 40, 60 and 100 psi (275, 415 and 690 kPa), STYROFOAM Highload insulation features superior moisture resistance and R-value* retention. All three STYROFOAM Highload insulation products resist compressive creep and fatigue, delivering long-term compressive strength. Like all STYROFOAM insulation products, STYROFOAM Highload 40, 60 and 100 are durable, versatile and reusable – making them the preferred choices for a variety of highload applications.

STYROFOAM™Highload insulation is ideal for use in low-temperature (freezer floor) applications, highways, airport runways, bridge abutments, parking decks, utility lines, ice rinks and plaza decks. It is the responsibility of the designer to select the proper STYROFOAM Highload insulation product based on the dead and live loads expected in the application.

Performance. Installation. Durability. Dow Building Materials† is a leader in extruded polystyrene insulation. In fact, we invented STYROFOAM* extruded polystyrene insulation. Today, we have a science-based insulating solution for your commercial application. Whether it's the foam's closed cell structure, unique slots and grooves that ease installation, or specialized facings for extra durability, added R-value, and moisture resistance, you'll appreciate the superior performance of STYROFOAM insulation products:

Closed Cell Foam Structure – Foam with no holes or voids that water can penetrate. It resists moisture and will maintain its R-value over time. The result, high compressive strength and unparalleled resistance to water penetration. This is the only kind of foam that carries the STYROFOAM brand name.

R-Value – A measurement of resistance to heat flow. The greater the R-value, the greater the thermal efficiency—and a small increase makes a big difference. Cavity insulation only insulates between the studs, leaving those studs un-insulated. Rigid insulation covers the entire wall, providing a continuous layer of thermal protection and increasing the overall R-value and energy efficiency.

Moisture Resistance – Some insulation products absorb and hold water which reduces insulation performance and can lead to mold growth. STYROFOAM extruded polystyrene insulation resists water absorption and does not provide a nutrient source for molds. So, STYROFOAM insulation provides long-term insulating performance while reducing the potential for mold growth within the insulation.

Strength and Durability – Styrofoam insulation is rigid, so it's durable and maintains its intergrity during installation and for years after. Yet, it's easy to cut and work with.
