Air and vapor barriers primary functions are to prevent the transfer of air and water vapor between two areas. They can effectively reduce energy costs, improve comfort and prevent deterioration of the structure. Air and vapor barriers can come in both self-adhering membranes, as well as in liquid form, for a variety of application specifications.

Asphaltic air and vapor barriers are a self-adhering membrane that is ideal for above grade applications. Their ability to bond to most surfaces at temperatures down to -7 degrees Celsius without the use of a flame, makes them very versatile and easy to install.

Self- adhering acrylic membranes come in cut rolls in a variety of sizes to limit the amount of waste. These high quality membranes do not require primers and can be installed in temperatures down to -18 degrees Celsius. Because of the superior adhesive used, they will stick to most materials used in construction.
