EROSION CONTROL & GEOTEXTILES

Soil reinforcement in the form of polypropylene netting helps prevent soil erosion, especially on steep slopes. By allowing water to drain without excess soil runoff, it helps to protect the landscaping, structure and our water systems. The netting allows vegetation, a natural erosion control system, to establish on slopes or where high erosion conditions exist and since the netting is biodegradable it turns into mulch over time.

Geotextiles are used on projects where the conditions may present opportunities for contaminants to pollute the environment like roadways, landfill or chemical plants. These tightly woven fabrics allow for effective water drainage, while catching even the smallest particles and contaminants. One popular usage is to cover weeping tiles to prevent particles from gaining access to the drainage piping and creating a blockage.
